Sarah Palin’s documentary launched over the weekend in ten movie theaters in America.  And reportedly it's not doing so well...

The documentary is about Palin’s journey from Alaskan governor to vice presidential candidate.  Mama Grizzly doesn’t actually appear in the film -- but does some narration.

Critics are giving it three thumbs down -- however filmmakers believe it was a success under its special circumstances.  Hollywood Reporter explains.

“...Undefeated isn’t the usual release and may not play by the rules. Distributor ARC Entertainment and Cinedigm Entertainment rushed the documentary into digital-only theaters and relied on social media to market the pic, versus a traditional media spend."

So “Undefeated” didn’t vanquish Harry Potter with ticket sales, but how much did it make?
The Guardian reports...

The Undefeated took an estimated $65,000-$75,000 in its opening weekend at the US box office, a figure described as ‘soft’ in some reports. Distributor ARC Entertainment demurred, suggesting a ‘strong’ debut..."

Most believe that the documentary is nothing more than an two-hour-long advertisement for Brand Palin.
An Orlando Sentinel writer sounds off on the film saying...

“But everything in ‘The Undefeated’ is loaded, from its choice of endorsements to the choice of extreme voices in those rare moments when she is criticized. Her political allies sing her praises ... these ‘endorsements' -- They aren’t spontaneous question-and-answer sessions with a wide assortment of critics and colleagues. ...Thus, ‘The Undefeated’ plays like an infomercial."

Even though the documentary got a positive zero percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes it could still be up for an award -- a Razzie that is.
The Daily Mail reports
...

“John Wilson, the founder of The Razzies, otherwise known as the Golden Raspberry Awards, commented that Sarah Palin was ‘what the Razzies are all about.'"
