The Salvation Army is a horrible organization! DO NOT donate to these biggoted crooks! Your money is better being donated to local friendly organizations that benefit your entire community. Did you know that the Salvation Army will not support any organization that is inclusive of LGBT people? Please do your research before you donate to these idiots.

I work for the salvation army and donations are up I will continue to donate even if there were not no credit card machines the point is in giving either way it is for the best

I was wondering when they would implement this. It seems like no one carries cash these days anyway. Im sure they will see very positive results in terms of donations.

Definitely a smart move. Besides the fact that more people carry more cards and less cash, some people might feel like they're giving more if they see it in cold, hard cash. For instance, ninety quarters seems like a lot. $15 by credit card hardly seems like the same amount.
