Now when you’re up in the air, your mind can be in the gutter. Tuscon’s KMSB explains what’s up overseas.

“So there’s a company called RyanAir and this is one of those, oh, budget jetliners- especially in Europe, OK? ... the guy who is the head honcho of this thing wants to launch a pay-per-view pornography service for passengers to watch during flights. I mean, how awkward is this, right? Travelers would be able to download an app to watch sex scenes on their iPads and their smartphones.”

Porn on planes? Gawker says-- too much.

“...hotels around the world have one thing that people on an airplane don't have: privacy … Do you really want to ride on a plane next to some horny man watching people copulate on a little screen and squirming in his too-small seat? No!”

But PCMag suggests-- this shouldn’t come as a shock.

“Perhaps that's just a reflection of [RyanAir’s CEO’s] penny-pinching ways—he famously proposed trimming the cabin toilet count to just one and charging for its use. The company even blocked employees from charging mobile phones at work, arguing that doing so was tantamount to theft of the company's electricity.”

If RyanAir does move ahead with in-flight porn, late night host Craig Ferguson suggests the company should set up some ground rules for the solo mile-high club.

CRAIG FERGUSON: “Here’s a little advice for RyanAir- if you’re gonna do that, don’t give out the free blankets, alright? Then things will be like the jury room at the Los Angeles Criminal Justice Center- grubby. Do you know the rules for the in-flight porn are the same as they are for the oxygen mask? Of course you take care of yourself before helping the other passengers.”

Joking aside, The Globe and Mail says RyanAir may actually be on to something.

“Even so, no one can fault his business acumen. After all, iPhone porn is already available for download, at least on the down low. And there’s nothing to stop a frequent flyer from loading up an iPad full of porn before takeoff.”

RyanAir says it’ll take at least a year to make the plan possible- its porn-programed planes need broadband before they take off.
