Russia's massive athlete doping scandal could get the country barred from the upcoming 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
The New York Times reports anti-doping agencies representing at least "10 nations and 20 athlete groups" are expected to pressure Olympic officials as early as Monday to ban Russia.
Right now, all Russian track and field athletes are barred from the games after the World Anti-Doping Agency found evidence of a widespread, state-backed doping scandal during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
