Move over Kate Middleton -- England has a new set of newlyweds.
“William’s cousin, Zara Phillips, married rugby star, Mike Tindall, in Scotland yesterday. It was a royal wedding with the Queen and the rest of the family in attendance but it was a decidedly low-key affair compared to William and Kate’s wedding.”

Contact Music says the pair got engaged in December of last year.
And while the ceremony seemed “low key” next to April’s mega-wedding, they had many supporters.
“Thousands of well-wishers lined the streets of Edinburgh and cheered as the newlyweds emerged from the capital city’s Canongate Kirk parish to wave and share a tender kiss.”
According to News.com -- in fact, nearly 6,000 well-wishers greeted the now-married duo. Arriving almost five minutes late to the reception, the blonde bride wore her mother’s tiara and a gown made by Stewart Parvin.
And the UK's Metro reports Phillips will not be adopting a new last name, mostly because of her athletic career.
“Zara is a former world champion three-day event rider and as the sport relies heavily on sponsorship for funding, she decided it would be unwise to change her name.”
Finally-- a writer for the Telegraph says-- while it was no William and Kate royal event, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The writer describes it as
“...relaxed, modern affair in glorious sunshine, a private wedding for friends... there was none of the high pomp and ceremony that marked the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton...”
