Turns out you can learn a lot about a person by... how they sleep? That’s right new studies show links between sleep positions and personality traits. Fox & Friends goes thru some of the most common —


"If you sleep in the fetal position, it means you're a worrier. ... Log position sleepers tend to be bossy ... Yearner, it means you want more out of life.”

And there’s good news for people who claim the fetal position. CBS This Morning spoke to sleep expert and psychologist Janet Kennedy for more —

“Most people sleep on their sides and it certainly does say something about your personality, but it’s also the healthiest sleep position because it preserves the back alignment.”

British researchers studied 1,000 sleepers to get to the bottom of the links. BBC has this quote from the director of the Sleep Assessment and Advisory Service about the survey’s impact—

"We are all aware of our body language when we are awake but this is the first time we have been able to see what our subconscious posture says about us."

Other researchers have determined that facing different directions even means different things, but according to Yahoo! Health, there is one thing the studies agree on —

“Both researchers say there is no one size fits all when it comes to sleep positions...”
