Four years ago, Rudy Giuliani was vying for the GOP Presidential bid. Now -- again -- it looks like he might be sneaking into the current presidential race. KMSB reports...
“Another Republican may soon toss his has into the presidential ring. It seems former mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani hasn't ruled out a 2012 bid. We've learned one of his top advisers was in New Hampshire just to check out the landscape of the first primary. Earlier this month, Giuliani said he would only run again if the GOP became quote ‘desperate.’”
The advisor was Jake Menges -- but an unidentified source gives the Daily Caller a reason to be skeptical, writing...
“Menges ‘was in New Hampshire and talking to lots of people, but he was having trouble getting commitments from them... What I hear is that they are initially telling people Rudy is going to run. Then, after they set up one-on-one meetings and phone calls, Rudy is actually significantly less committed then his friends let on. I don’t think he’s running.”
This isn’t Giuliani’s first scan of New Hampshire -- WNYC writes...
“The former mayor has visited the Granite State four times this year, but has been noncommittal about his intentions. During his last trip in July, he said he wasn't convinced any of the candidates were strong enough to defeat President Barack Obama, and until he was sure, he wouldn't rule out a run.”
As some states prep for even sooner Presidential Primaries, the clock ticks even faster for potential candidates. CNN offers this analysis...
“This all means for the candidates they better speed things because now they have one less month to campaign and to reach out to voters in all these early states. And for people like Chris Christie, and people like Rudy Giuliani, Sarah Palin who were thinking of maybe jumping in, well they better do it quick because everything is going to fast forward a month.”
