Ki Suk Han (Key Sook Hawn), a father from Queens, was thrown onto the tracks at a Times Square subway station Monday afternoon and killed by the oncoming train.

“It was 12:30 in the afternoon when an apparent argument between two men escalated with Ki Suk Han being thrown onto the tracks.”

A witness told NBC …

“I saw the train pull into the station. About three quarters the way into the station, you almost heard like a thud.”

Investigators don’t believe Han and the suspect knew each other, but simply “picked a fight.” A police spokesman told the New York Times …

“As he attempted to climb out of the well, he was struck by the train and got wedged between the platform and the train car,”

Han’s wife said she kept trying to call him to talk about an argument they had that morning.

“Han left their Elmhurst New York Residence around 11 am angry and possibly intoxicated after the two had a verbal altercation.”

The suspect fled the scene, but police have set up a command post outside the station and are searching nearby surveillance cameras.
