'Prince Of Tides,' 'The Great Santini' Author Pat Conroy Dies At 70

Bestselling author Pat Conroy, 70, has died from pancreatic cancer.
Conroy was best known for stories of dysfunctional families. His book "The Prince of Tides" became a film that was nominated for seven Oscars, including best picture. Three of his other books were adapted into movies, as well.
Much of Conroy's work was about his troubled relationship with his own family. His 1976 book, "The Great Santini," focused on his relationship with his abusive father.
