Paul McCartney is getting ready to seal the deal for the third time.
His wedding is scheduled for Sunday at London’s Old Marylebone Town Hall, the same place he got hitched to his first wife, Linda Eastman, in 1969.
CBS has an inside look …
"Sir Paul McCartney is nothing if not a hopeless romantic. If the buzz is to be believed to take wife number three, Nany Shevell, up the aisle tomorrow, this time fiancé's got her own money..."
McCartney’s got a near twenty-year lead on Shevell, age 51. But don’t expect a William-and-Kate-style affair from the former Beatle. The UK’s Mirror reports.
“The wedding is in keeping with the way Paul and Nancy have conducted their entire relationship -- low-key, understated and fuelled by goodwill. Neither of them wanted a huge fuss made and the main priority, for both, was family.”
McCartney and Shevell will exchange vows in front of 30 people, but even if the ceremony is low-key, the location is not. Old Marylebone Town Hall’s superintendent told People Magazine last month...
“It's such an iconic building… We have been called the Rock-and-Roll Venue, and that's a legacy of the Beatles because also Ringo Starr got married here. People like Liam Gallagher chose to get married here because of the Beatles connection … a lot of people do."
Worth noting, the ceremony will take place on what would have been John Lennon’s 71st birthday.
