One of the most popular Olympians from the 2012 Summer Games is set to return to your TV -- not for a swimming competition -- but for a new reality series. WROC and WCPO have more on Ryan Lochte’s new endeavor.

“In last Summer's Olympics -- Lochte won several medals -- including gold in swimming. Now, he's getting his own reality show on E! Entertainment Television. The network has ordered six episodes of ‘What Would Ryan Lochte Do?’”

“‘What Would Ryan Lochte Do?’ will follow the 28-year-old swimmer as he prepares for the 2016 olympics, developing his fashion line, deals with his family and friends, and of course searches for a girlfriend.”

The series was announced Monday night, and shortly thereafter the network brass at E! opened up about the series. E! Entertainment President Suzanne Kolb said in a statement:

“He is an incredibly endearing personality who is sexy, entertaining and fun.” She adds: “I believe people will fall into three categories: they want to be him, sleep with him or mother him.”

Although die-hard Lochte fans would easily fall under one of those categories, one sports writer for USA Today did not seem to agree with that sentiment.

“Well, for starters, he'd probably have spelled it ‘What Wood Ryan Lochte Do’ and forgot to include the question mark. In a statement, E! called Lochte 'vivescent,’ which isn't a word and, thus, is a perfect description.”

And if anyone is worried about a lack of content on the show, Radar Online says we don’t need to worry about that.

The gossip site writes: “Lochte is a serious party boy so E! should have lots of material to work with.”

Whether you’ll like the series or not, ‘What Would Ryan Lochte Do?’ is set to premiere this April on the E! network.
