We love talking about him -- and he loves talking.
Heard the latest from Chad Ochocinco?
He’s still looking for somewhere to live – and here’s his plan courtesy of WHDH.
“I’m actually gonna stay with a fan for probably the first two three weeks of the season. That’s should be fun until I get myself acclimated. I’m not sure how many Boston fans I have but I’ll just pick somebody out of the blue, I’m not sure how that’s gonna work yet. They have to have Internet and they have to have XBOX, and man, that’s about it.” (WHDH)
Yep -- he’s serious.
Just days ago, Ocho talked about toning it down and doing it “the Patriot way”.
The new roommate situation has everybody laughing – from the folks on MSNBC’s Morning Joe -- to his own teammates.
Nichols: “Chad says instead of finding an apartment to start with he’s actually gonna live with a fan for a couple weeks.
Branch: Laughing
Nichols: “I take it you’ve heard this already?”
Branch: Yeah, we talk about all this nonsense in the locker room, just stay tuned there’s gonna be something real crazy, hopefully he doesn’t get fined for it.” (ESPN)
So -- time to pick up an XBOX?…MSNBC anchors are all in.
“I don’t have an XBOX, but I’m getting it today.
“Get it today.”
“I’m leaving early to get it today. I’ll be at Best Buy at 9.”
“Ochocinco, he’s a strange genius that man.”
“He is, laughing”
“But seriously though, what a great PR move! Living with a fan? That’s great, seriously smart guy.”
This surprising from 85? Not at all says HLN.
“He’s done everything from dancing with the stars to professional bull riding, so moving in with a fan so that sounds about right.”
On the subject of bull riding - how about this quote from Ochocinco – it got a few laughs too…
“When asked if he’s worried about moving in with a “crazy” fan, he replied, ‘I rode a bull. I’m crazy. Same thing.” (WHDH)
It’s funny right? But is it gonna happen? Doubtful -- says a writer for the Boston Globe. He says boss man Bill Belichick probably won’t let that fly.
“Ochocinco's genuine attempt to connect with his new fans is admirable, but there's no way Belichick is going to allow that distraction to take place. The coach needs to have Ochocinco focused, next thing you know he's bunking up with Tony, the Bud Light-swilling season ticket holder from Section 305.”
