Chilling photos and video of Norwegian killer Anders Breivik just minutes before the massacre started.
“Here's the Norwegian mass murderer minutes before he detonated a car bomb outside of the prime minister's office in July. This newly released photo shows him dressed in a police uniform and carrying a pistol." (Fox News)
Now – more blame on Norwegian authorities. Its being reported they could have seen this coming. Newser reports…
“The scene would have appeared on the screens of security officers monitoring the district, but nobody raised the alarm, notes Norwegian newspaper ABC Nyheter, labeling government security preparations ‘a total failure.’”
Not only blame – but anger. A lawyer representing survivors of the rampage told the ABC Nyheter a better response from police would have saved lives. The Herald Sun has that quote…
“What is the point of having surveillance cameras if you do not respond to a man in that type of clothing who has a gun in his hand? … We know that as soon as Breivik saw police, he surrendered … If someone had stopped him there (at the location where the image was captured), he would have surrendered.”
And there’s more video – not on the day of the attack, but just a few days ago. Breivik returned to the youth camp is Oslo where he gunned down 69 innocent people.
“Anders Berring Breivik spent 8 hours at the lake island camp with police, restrained with a harness and walking the same path he took during the attack. Raising his hands as you can see there as if firing a gun to demonstrate how and where he shot dozens of people.” (ABC News)
Breivik who confessed to the killing spree remains in solitary confinement – and his trial will begin next year.
