RICHARD HAASS, PRES. COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS: “What unconfirmed, but not corroborated means, is you’ve got a lot of signals. There’s a lot of things in the intelligence business that’s suggesting this is real. On the other hand, you don’t have specific evidence that Person A coming out of Point A is going to do certain things, so you don’t have that degree of specificity, but you have enough chatter, enough indications, that you’ve got to take it seriously.”
Still in U.S. news-- President Barack Obama has announced his latest jobs plan-- urging Congress to pass it for the American people.
Pres. BARACK OBAMA: “This plan’s for you.”
CORRESPONDENT, ABC: “It was a call for action to pass a $447 billion plan, more than half of that in tax cuts. The other $202 billion in spending for infrastructure to keep teachers on the job, for innovative unemployment programs. What would it mean for you? The biggest single item in the proposal: $175 billion to extend and deepen the payroll tax cut for working families.”
In world news-- the international police agency INTERPOL has issued a quote- “red notice” warrant for the arrest of ousted Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

ANCHOR, FOX NEWS: “Those are cool! It’s been 20 years since Michael J Fox wore those sneakers in Back to the Future II. Now 1500 pairs of the replica, Nike MAG, are being auctioned off on eBay’s fashion vault. Proceeds will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease, power laces not included.”
In tech news-- Google reveals it consistently uses enough power to fuel 200,000 individual homes.
But as The New York Times reports-- the company claims that usage only makes the world greener.
Google argues its services help people use less fuel.
For example, typing a search query into Google is greener than, say, driving an automobile to the local library to find the information.
The company says the average user consumers about 180 watt-hours of electricity a month, the equivalent to running a 60-watt light bulb for three hours.
