LA homicide has reopened the Natalie Wood death case after 30 years. California courts ruled her drowning was an accident, but now CNN reports the case has new information.
“Meantime, out west, a homicide investigators in los angeles have reopened the natalie wood death case. The movie star drowned 30 years ago. This month during a boating trip. Her husband actor robert wagner and christopher walken were onboard at the time. The coroner ruled woods’ death an accident but authorities say people contacted them with additional information."
And in sports, another coach is under fire for sexual assault allegations. HLN has the story.
“This time it is Syracuse mens’ assistant basketball coach. Police are looking into allegations that he touched two ball boys inappropriately, and he is on administrative leave ... The associate coach, Bernie Fine, is in his 35th season as an assistant coach to head coach Jim Boeheim who has said he has his full support.”
In the Philippines -- the arrest of ex-president Gloria Arroyo on poll fraud charges. Current Philippines president Benigno Aquino has instructed authorities Arroyo be treated with “utmost respect.”
“The widely unpopular Arroyo was president for nine years. She faces allegations of stealing millions of dollars and rigging elections. ... The justice secretary says cases are being prepared against the former leader and they will be presented once they’re ready.”

In U.S. news, the army has challenged DARPA with it’s own glider -- called the Advanced Hypersonic Weapon. The vehicle travelled 2,300 miles in 30 minutes flying at five times the speed of sound. Here’s Fox News
“The Army’s Advanced Hypersonic Weapon launched aboard a three-stage booster system from the Pacific Missile Range Facility on the island of Kauai in Hawaii at 6:30 AM ET, deployed for its hypersonic glide, and eventually splashed down in the Reagan Test Site located near the Kwajalein Atoll.”
Finally in entertainment, Regis Philbin is leaving television after five decades. ABC tells us just how much screen time he racked up in his tv tenure.
“... he’s been a ubiqutous presence on television for 50 years, shattering his own world record for the most time of anyone on the air. And in case you’re keeping score, it now stands at 16,780.5 hours.”
