This is Newsy Now and here are the headlines you need to know.

Bashar al Assad loyalists express anger after the Arab League suspends Syria’s membership. Syria’s foreign minister says the League’s actions are ‘shameful and malicious.’ CNN has the latest.

"...from Syria's foreign minister, and he basically said that Libya's scenario would not be repeated in Syria. He also said that the fact is that Russia and China back Syria, or they would not vote for any kind of military action to be taken on Syria and the UN Security Council.”

In Italy -- after his resignation, Silvio Berlusconi’s party is backing a new prime minister, Mario Monti. Al Jareeza reports on the key differences between the leaders.

“When Berlusconi stepped down, this square was filled with thousands of people celebrating his resignation, while no one is celebrating tonight over Monti’s appointment -- he is not a democratic leader who has won the hearts of his people, but rather a trusted economist who Italians hope will bring the back from the brink of financial collapse.”

On the U.S. political stage, Michele Bachmann’s is accusing CBS News of bias. She claims she has proof the outlet did not give her enough air time during the CBS National Journal debate this weekend. Fox News spoke with rival candidate Rick Santorum about the allegations.

GRETCHEN: “Congresswoman Bachmann was upset because their camp intercepted an e-mail from the CBS News political director where it said she's only at 4%, let's not give her a lot of questions. Do you think that's fair?”
SANTORUM: “The idea that this is a decided race or because one person responds today, another person the next day. Let the people decide.”

Still in politics -- after weeks of allegations against her husband, Herman Cain’s wife speaks out in his defense. Here’s CBS News.

GLORIA CAIN: “...I know that's not the person he is. He totally respects women.”
REPORTER: “Cain's strategy in dealing with the scandal is to focus on the issues. To that end, he and the other candidates turn their attention to national security and foreign policy.”

And in entertainment-- Justin Timberlake is man of his word. This weekend he attended the Marine Corp ball with his date -- who invited him via YouTube. HLN has the details.

ROBIN: “He went with a combat instructor Corporal Kelsey De Santis...Timberlake said on his blog that his date was nervous and very humble and so proud to be among heroes. Go, Justin.”
BOB: “I remember that. He said I can't, but he went.”
ROBIN: “He ended up going.”
