Casey Anthony -- not guilty -- of murder and aggravated child abuse.
So says a Florida jury.
The jury did find Anthony guilty of providing false or misleading information to law enforcement.

President Obama
offers a compromise -- offering major cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, if the Republicans will budge -- just a bit -- on taxes. This -- as the deadline to deal with the nation’s debt ceiling -- enters its final month.  MSNBC’s John Harwood discusses the nuances of tax breaks -- versus tax hikes.

John: “Depends how you define tax increases. John Boehner sometimes, the House Speaker, has said what we’re opposed to is raising tax rates. If you stick to that formulation, there’s still room to cut tax breaks for some people without increasing the tax rates.”

In Syria---forces have broken into several homes, arresting 30 activists in Hama. Ensuing clashes with government forces left three protesters dead.  CNN has more on the aftermath.

“We’re being told up to 1,000 young Syrians have taken up positions around the Eastern Syrian city hoping to protect citizens who live there.”

Reports that a private investigator for England’s “News of the World” tabloid---hacked into an abducted teenager’s voicemail. She was later found dead.
MSNBC reports the hacking--may have hampered the police investigation. A night club doorman murdered 13 year-old Milly Dowler back in 2002. The BBC’s June Kelly explains how the tabloid tricked police.

“After she disappeared, detectives topped up her mobile, so she was still able to receive messages. Gradually it became full, so that no more messages could be left. The Guardian newspaper says the tabloid hacked into her voicemail and deleted some of them to create some space, so then he could then hack any new messages.”

An oil spill under the Yellowstone River is proving harder to clean than previously thought.
Reports say more thousands of gallons of oil leaked into the river after an Exxon Mobile pipeline burst. Here’s Fox News.

“Melting mountain snow is welling the waterway, and it’s making it harder for the oil giant to get to areas damaged by the spill. On Friday, a 12-inch pipeline burst upstream from a refinery in Billings, Montana, spilling about 40,000 gallons of crude into the water.”

A Google-Realtime breakup means you won’t be able to get Twitter results when you search something on Google -- for now. Google actually confirmed the news... tweeting it no less. Here’s KGO with more.

“That allows users to find updates from Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites as they are posted. The Mountain View based company says it's working to incorporate its Realtime with its Google Plus.”
