The hotel maid who claims former IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn raped her is speaking out. Nafi Diallo says Kahn raped her at a Manhattan hotel in May. She sat down with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts for an exclusive interview.
Diallo: “I was like ‘I’m so sorry.’ I turned my head. He come to me and grabbed my breast. ‘No’ you don’t have to be sorry, and I said, ‘I don’t want to lose my job.’”
In world news --As protesters continue to put on the pressure for reform, the Syrian government has passed a law allowing the creation of new political parties.
But are the people buying into the changes? CNN has more on some of the protests.
“Massive crowds of anti-government protesters poured into the streets yesterday marching and chanting and clashing with riot police. They are demanding the overthrow of the president, and six people were reportedly killed in clashes Friday.”
In Grand Prairie, Texas -- a gunman kills family -- at his son’s own birthday party. Police say 35 year old Tan Do (Due) told his children to leave before he shot his own wife. Fox News talked to one expert who described the circumstance.
“This guy was systematically shooting everybody over there. He fired more shots and to make sure they were dead.”
Police find no drugs at singer Amy Winehouse’s home. UK’s The Sun reports -- officials believe Winehouse was dead for six hours before being discovered. MSNBC has the latest.
“An autopsy is due later this afternoon to determine exactly how the 27 year-old singer died. Right now many are wondering why her family and her friends couldn’t save her.”
In tech news -- China closes two fake Apple stores. Both reportedly do not have the proper business license. Three other Apple stores in the town of Kunming will stay open. Here’s The Daily Buzz.
“There's fake Apple stores out there. When you got something good, there's going to be rip-offs. You have to go to China to see a blogger named Bird Abroad. She posted a video of the a fake Apple store in China. It looked so much like a real store, people had no idea.”
