Reports are surfacing that Casey Anthony’s attorney wanted to use her parents---as decoys. George and Cindy reportedly denied the request -- and speculation about Anthony’s possible whereabouts continue. HLN’s Nancy Grace says -- it doesn’t matter where she is -- she’s going to cash in.

Grace: “It’s just like porn. Nobody says in church on Sunday morning that they watch it, but they do. So someone is going to watch that interview, and somebody’s going to buy that book, and they’re going to make a lot of money off of it."

In World News -- the News of the World scandal is reaching up the ladder -- to UK Prime Minister David Cameron, who has called for an emergency parliamentary session. All of this---while he was in South Africa. MSNBC’s Jim Maceda says Cameron is feeling the heat.

“He’s cut short his Africa trip. He’s postponed the Parliament summary by at least a day so Wednesday he can answer some of the barrage of unanswered questions related to this growing scandal."

In U.S. political news -- there’s a new poll out--- blaming Republicans for the ongoing debt crisis.
A CBS news poll shows 71 percent of voters disagree with how Republicans are handling the issue.

But will those numbers affect how Congress votes? Fox News explains the latest effort for compromise - from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell - which would give the president the power to raise the debt ceiling through the year.

“He introduced that as a back up, last-ditch type of a plan, and it’s taken on strength as we’ve seen different constituencies battle for plans that may not have the support to get through both houses. In terms of the McConnell plan there has been criticism on the Republican side."

In U.S. news -- “Carmageddon” turned into “Carma-heaven” this weekend in LA. Officials say 65 percent fewer people drove on LA freeways during the closure. Bridgework on a ten-mile stretch of the 405 finished early - just in time for the work week. KNBC explains how much the city saved by opening a day early.

“Demolition work on the Mullholland bridge wrapped up earlier this morning, and the debris cleaned up a few hours after. The city saves $700,000 by not having to pay another 12 hour shift. $300,000 of that goes to the private contractor as a bonus."

Finally, in entertainment news -- Harry Potter broke two records on its opening weekend by making more money than any other movie... ever. The flick racked up nearly $170 million in the states and more than $400 million worldwide. Here’s CNBC.

“The Deathly Hallows made $92 million on its first day of screenings. It’s not bad, is it? $6 billion from one story idea."
