In U.S. news, a photograph captured a heated exchange between President Barack Obama and Arizona Governor Jan Brewer just moments after Air Force One landed at the Phoenix airport.

Brewer is shown pointing a finger at the president. She tells Fox News that Obama was criticizing her book, Scorpions for Breakfast, which touches on the governor’s stance of tightening border security.

"...I don’t know why he was surprised by my book. But he evidently is, and he’s very thin skinned in regards to it.”

In world news, 50 police officers had to escort Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard from a Canberra restaurant after protesters ambushed the location. The crowd of 200 were supporters of Aboriginal rights.

Australia’s ABC has a clip of the incident.

Protesters: “Shame! Shame! Racist! Racist!”

Still in world news, the UN is expressing concern about reported human rights violations in Libya. Militias are reportedly still heavily armed, as they continued to capture Muammar Gaddafi-loyalists. euronews says the UN is calling for Libya’s Ministry of Justice to take control over the detention centers.

“Revolutionary forces were believed to have been responsible for recent fatal clashes in Tripoli, Bani Walid and Benghazi. Concern was also raised over some 8,000 prisoners held by militias amid reports of torture.”

In tech and health news, a recent Harvard study finds using the iPad can cause neck and shoulder pain. Researchers say some iPad users put themselves in awkward postures while holding the tablet, for long periods of time. ABC has the researchers’ tips for a more comfortable tablet experience.

“First there was the BlackBerry thumb, now there’s iPad shoulder. Harvard researchers recommend placing the tablet higher up and using a case to help prevent any discomfort.”
