This is Newsy Now and here are the headlines you need to know.

Late Thursday night, the Senate rejected President Obama latest plan to extend a Social Security payroll tax. CNN has President Obama’s plea to Congress.

“This really should not be controversial.  A lot of Republicans agreed with this tax cut in the past... The bad news is some of those same Republicans voted ‘No’ on those jobs bills and my tax cut... They said now to cutting taxes for small business owners and working families.

Herman Cain’s accuser Ginger White reclaims the spotlight as she apologizes to Cain’s wife and kids.  With the latest poll numbers, Fox News explains this could be the final nail in the coffin.

“The allegations hurt him. Taking a huge hit on his campaign.  Hitting most in first in the nation Iowa.  New polling numbers out, Cain at 8% among Republicans.  That is down from 23% in
late October.”

Syria experiences more pressure from sanctions as oil giant Shell pulls its pumps out of the Middle eastern country.  Al Jazeera has more.

“Syria is a major exporter of oil and gas and its those resources that are at the heart of the sanctions... Well EU sanctions against Syria has a potential to do the most damage.  Nearly 90% of Syria oil exports went to the EU -- that was before September’s ban.”

Internet Gaming mogul Zynga filed for an IPO.  It could be one of the biggest offerings since Google, and one of the most affordable.  CNBC explains how much the creators of Farmville stand to make.

ANCHOR: “Plans to sell 100 million shares 50 and $10 a share. That would put the proceeds we quickly deduced at about a billion dollars.”
ANCHOR 2: “But values the company closer to $7 billion.”
ANCHOR: “Really.”

In Sports -- Seattle Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch puts the team on his back to finish the Eagles with a 31-14 win.  MSNBC’s Wille Geist was up ‘way too early’ with the highlights.

“First quarter, no score, look at this run, Marshawn lynch runs into traffic at the 10. It looks like he's done. But finds his way out of the pack somehow, runs in for the score... look at this, Marshawn lynch, trust me he snacked on some skittles. The coach giving him some skittles. You're going to see the bag there it is. Skittles. That is his fuel.”
