In U.S. news -- a deal in court could allow three men convicted of killing three 8-year-old boys in Arkansas to be released from prison on Friday. HLN explains a celebrity twist in the case of the West Memphis Three.

“A deal is in the works for the men dubbed the West Memphis Three. Famous people like actor Johnny Depp have got involved and rallied for their release. The deal involves the West Memphis Three acknowledge the state of Arkansas has evidence they could try to convict them. They were teens when they were convicted. The killings were part of a santanic rituals but DNA later failed to link the men to the murders.”

Still in the U.S. -- the Obama administration announced its plans to fast-track the deportation of illegal immigrants who are considered “more dangerous.” Fox News explains its review will determine who will move to the head of the line -- and who gets to stay.

“The Obama administration, they’ve deported more illegal immigrants than any other administration. Last year was a record. In 2010, 400,000. Now little over half of those were actually had criminal records. Now what they're going to do as Brian says, they're going to go through the system and if you don't have a criminal record, you get to stay. So is this a dream act actually working out in society without ever being passed by congress? That's what some people are asking this morning.”

In world news -- suicide attackers launched a deadly assault on the British Council in Kabul -- CNN explains the significance of the attacker’s timing.

“A pair of suicide bombers attacked a British government compound in Kabul. Eight killed, ten others hurt. Explosions and gunfire were heard hours after the attack. Today marks the 92nd anniversary of Afghanistan's independence from Great Britain.”

In China -- an international game of basketball paired Washington’s Georgetown Hoyas against the Bayi (BAH - hee) Rockets. MSNBC explains there was no room for diplomacy in the paint.

“What could go wrong? Georgetown, our Georgetown University in Washington, in Beijing, nine minutes left in the game and all hell breaks loose. Pushing and shoving lead to this. Benches empty, chairs thrown. This was not just pushing and shoving. They called the game there.”

Finally in entertainment -- less than a week after a stage collapsed at the Indiana State Fair, another round of powerful blows over a music festival -- this time in Belgium and taking five more lives. BBC was at the scene.

“It was early evening when storms swept across Belgium at the festival sight. The skies blackened and winds whipped hail stones a centimeter wide came crashing down. Staging collapsed, lighting rigs were tossed aside, and trees ripped up... Around 60,000 people were at the site when the storms came through, emergency teams had to negotiate buckling structures and a site turned to mud.”
