One of the U.S. Navy’s most senior SEAL officers is dead in Afghanistan.
The Navy says he may have taken his own life.
Here’s MSNBC.
“42-year-old Navy Commander Job W. Price died Saturday of what U.S. military officials are calling a non-combat related injury. They tell NBC News his death is being investigated as a possible suicide.”
The Daily Mail reports Price was found dead in his Afghanistan quarters with a gunshot wound -- after failing to report for duty on Sunday.
Price was commander of one of the Navy’s eight Special Operations teams in Afghanistan.
CNN has more.
“While serving as the commanding officer of SEAL Team Four, a group of more than two-dozen commandos conducting combat operations in the southern region of the country.”
CNN reports Price was not involved in any military investigations or controversies.
He leaves behind a wife and a nine-year-old daughter.
