A woman’s body was found on Queen Elizabeth II’s holiday estate on New Year’s Day, and police are treating the case as a murder. Global News has the details.
"…they were informed just last night that on the New Year’s Day, a dog walker in the area found the body of woman – human remains on the estate. Now keep in mind, Sandringham compasses thousands of acres, and these remains were found about two miles from the main Royal residence. But today, police are calling this murder.
The Queen’s Former Press Secretary explains that anybody can be questioned in this case. ABC News reports.
“It’s possible somebody involved with the Queen stuff may know something, may have seen something. Certainly, at this time all those royals and residents, there are dozens and dozens of security guys, policemen, undercover officers swarming through the grounds. It seems quite extraordinary that it wasn’t until the dog-walker discovered body that nothing was found.”
One commenter on CNN’s report says the word “Queen” makes the case bizarre.
“[I] Would like to think the royals had absolutely no connection to this. And it is likely they did not. But IF they did; like other things in the past it will be [thoroughly] covered up. … Not the first time this royal familly was surrounded by scandal and suspicion. Been going on for centuries. I am sure it won't be the last.”
According to the police officers, they are still working to find out the woman’s identity.
