Rouen's Archbishop Dominique Lebrun said, "We are very moved by the presence of our Muslim friends, and I believe it is a courageous act that they did by coming to us."
France's Muslim council called for its followers to attend Catholic services after two knife-wielding assailants attacked a Mass days before.

The two armed men reportedly pledged their allegiance to ISIS. They took hostages and killed Father Jacques Hamel before being shot and killed by police.
Many Muslims who attended Mass said they wanted to show that they are also horrified by the ISIS-linked violence that's shaken France and Europe in recent months.
