MAN: "I think we should do the same thing against Americans in our country, right? If they do this against us, there? We can do the same against them, here."

WOMAN: "It's their country. It's up to them to decide what they want to do. It's like deciding what to do in your own house. You decide what the rules are." (CNN)

That's reaction continuing to pour in from across the border and across the nation to Arizona's immigration crackdown.

We're looking at reaction from MSNBC, The Houston Chronicle, Fox News and The San Francisco Chronicle.

First, we turn to MSNBC where analyst Jonathan Turley says the federal government might challenge Arizona's new law.

"The most likely grounds would be on pre-emption. To say that the state is acting in an area that is occupied by federal law. And that they can't do that. They can't have their own immigration scheme."

But in The Houston Chronicle, columnist George Will says Arizona is only enforcing what is already a federal statute.

"It is passing strange for federal officials, including the president, to accuse Arizona of irresponsibility while the federal government is refusing to fulfill its responsibility to control the nation's borders. Such control is an essential attribute of national sovereignty."

On Fox News, Neil Cavuto talks with a Democratic Congressman about state versus federal enforcement, saying the laws on the books haven't been enforced enough on the border.

"But we never do. And so these Arizonians said, 'Look, this is getting bad here. And we gotta do something.' And they did. So, what's to say you federally will do anything differently from what you've NOT done in the past. But Neil, there's ways to do them. And there's ways the Constitution says we can't."

Other left-coast political leaders are saying they will boycott all business with the Grand Canyon State. To which the San Francisco Chronicle says, really?

""Boycott Arizona!" was the thoroughly predictable City Hall reaction. It's unlikely that lawmakers and businesses in the Grand Canyon State are going to be quaking in their boots at the prospect of lost business from indignant San Francisco liberals."

So what do you think? Is the outcry justified? Or is Arizona just standing up for its states' rights?
