Before I was worried that LaRussa would leave the Cards. Now we've got both LaRoo and Big Mac back in the mix. I am so pumped (in an all-natural way).

It was his own choice to not comment on/deny/whatever his steroid use. I think that that was in the past, and if he can come forward and help out the Cardinals team with their hitting and make them a better baseball team, then I think that's what should be focused on now.

St. Louis is no different than any other baseball town, even if they like to think they are. All they care about is winning and if he helps them win, then so be it.

McGwire should have just come clean about his steroid use in the beginning. The public is so much more forgiving when you just admit your mistakes.

But I'm not sure if he will ever recover in Saint Louis. This town takes baseball very seriously. We don't want to here about scandal, about celebrity; we just want baseball. We loved McGwire when he was a big name in baseball, not when he was a big name in front of Congress.
