Watch out, guys -- your Internet searches may get you into trouble with more than just your girlfriend.
ABC tells us -- a German gem is now modeling a red flag on the cyber runway.
“Who is the most dangerous celebrity in cyberspace? According to McAfee, that honor goes to Heidi Klum. The cyber security firm found that one in 10 search results for the super model were actually malicious sites that will infect the computer or do other nasty things.”
But besides Project Runway, Klum doesn’t have much screen presence these days. Charlie Sheen has torn up more tabloids -- so wouldn’t he be a bigger search target for viruses? Fox News says apparently not.
“…Sheen ranks 59th on the list, with less than 3 percent of searches…yielding security-endangering results. McAfee’s director of Web security says, ‘Hot movies and TV shows, awards and industry accolades seem to be more of a factor than headline-grabbing activity.’”
So how do you know what’s safe? The Inquisitr cautions: stick to singers and sports stars.
But if you can’t hold on without your Heidi, at least try to avoid certain search terms.
“Fans searching for ‘Heidi Klum and downloads,’ … ‘free downloads,’ … ‘screensavers,’ … ‘hot pictures’ and … ‘videos’ are at the risk of running into online threats designed to steal personal information.”
Maybe you should just try to quit her cold turkey -- at least for a little while. USA Today warns the top 5 stars to look out for are Klum, Cameron Diaz, Piers Morgan, Jessica Biel and Katherine Heigl.
