It’s no secret Playboy favors attractive women...but now, a California man is suing “Hef’s house” for that very reason.
KSBI’s Daily Buzz has the scoop...
“The Daily Mail reports a recent guest is suing the mansion for unequal treatment after he was forced to pay one grand to attend a benefit party while scantily clad women got in for free. The man claims it’s a double standard and the mansion promotes harmful, negative stereotypes.
A writer for Business Insurance says -- “harmful, negative stereotypes?” The Playboy party-goer, named Steve Frye, may want to reevaluate his words.
“That’s pretty egalitarian language from someone who shelled out $1,000 to see half-dressed women. Of course, if Mr. Frye had shown up for the event wearing bunny ears and a tail, maybe he wouldn’t have had to pay admission.”
But TMZ wonders if the guy has a point.
“Gender is a protected class, but I think it’s almost like an affirmative action issue.”
“Something tells me those gorgeous women spent more money on their hair extensions and boob jobs to get there than that guy spent to go see them.”
“So as long as they get boob jobs then they should be allowed in?”
On Showbiz Tonight -- commentators discussed both sides of Frye’s case. One reporter says he understands the policy -- it’s just business.
“But maybe he doesn’t want to shell out one thousand bucks and if the women are getting in free, I could understand why he is feeling a bit discriminated against.”
“It’s simply supply and demand, there are not going to be women standing outside of a club, paying one thousand dollars to get in and hang out with other women.”
"If the girls don’t turn up, the guys don’t follow, the guys don’t spend money, no one makes any money.”
