“Casey Wagner was taking part in ‘Rednecks with Paychecks,’ where drivers go off roading. But then a storm rolled in so Wagner ducked over a tree for cover. Bad Idea.” (Via TXCN)

“What I remember is just a loud boom and it dropped me to my knees and then it hit me again. When I got hit, it was just two big ol’ flashes and then sparks went everywhere.” (Via KTVT)

“This is by far the closest to death I’ve ever been.” (Via WFTS)

A nurse nearby kept 31-year-old Wagner calm until he was taken to a hospital a few miles away, to be treated.

Remarkably, Wagner didn’t suffer any major injuries. Doctors expect him to be back to normal later this week. (Via New York Daily News)
