A shooting at a New Year’s Eve fireworks show in Sacramento, California has left 2 dead and several others injured. According to KMIZ:
“Sacramento police say the shooting happened after a bar fight spilled out into crowded streets during a fireworks display for New Year’s Eve.”
Approximately 40,000 people, including families with small children, were gathered for the 9 p.m. fireworks display when witnesses reported hearing gunshots and began running for cover.
After the wounded were taken to a nearby hospital, police cleared out the area - cancelling the firework show scheduled for midnight.
Authorities have not released information on the arrests at the time, but witnesses has told KOVR that they saw a man being taken into custody.
