A heart attack is no laughing matter... but this one’s a little ironic.
The Heart Attack Grill lived up to its name in Las Vegas — a customer was eating a “triple bypass burger” when he began showing signs of a heart attack.
“I actually felt horrible for the gentleman because the tourists were taking photos of him as if it were some type of a stunt... even with our own morbid sense of humor, we would never pull a stunt like that.”
The Grill’s sense of humor can be seen in the hospital gowns the customers wear while eating their burgers. And the restaurant staff? They’re dressed up like doctors and nurses. A writer for Food Beast says — this food isn’t something to mess around with.
“We love food as much as the next person (arguably an unhealthy amount more than most people), but it doesn’t mean we sip melted butter out of a straw and deep fry our burgers in lard just to do it.”
If a customer weighs more than 350 pounds, they eat free at the grill. Las Vegas Weekly says they’re surprised something like this hasn’t happened before.
“What’s most shocking is that it’s the first in the chain’s history. One meal tops out at 8,000 calories. Why don’t they just change the name of the place to ‘Burgers of Death’?”
The menu, complete with a butterfat milkshakes and flatline pure lard-fried french fries, has signs on the doors that warn customers that the establishment is bad for their health. ABCNews notes --

ANCHOR 2: “Hey in this day and age we know what we’re doing to ourselves, you know? But the phrase you are what you eat kind of comes to mind with some of that stuff.”
Heart Attack Grill’s campaign slogan is “a taste worth dying for.” The man who suffered the heart attack is recovering at a Las Vegas hospital.
