Police in Casper, Wyoming are still trying to determine what drove a 25-year-old man to attack his father and father’s girlfriend with a bow and arrow. Here’s WOOD-TV

“Police say 25-year-old christopher krumm stabbed his father's girlfriend near casper college friday morning. then he went to the college and shot his father, a professor there, in the head with a bow and arrow.”

This all transpired in 56-year-old James Krumm’s computer science classroom in front of a handful of students. The professor struggled with his son before being fatally stabbed in the chest.

Local police hailed Krumm as a hero for ensuring none of his students were injured. Here’s WSYR.

“Professor Krumm got up after being knocked down from the blow from the arrow, and even though mortally wounded, he fought the suspect off. the students in the room were all able to escape during the altercation because of the courage of the professor.”

Christopher Krumm fatally stabbed himself during the struggle. When police arrived, they found him bleeding and taking his last breaths, while his father was already dead. Authorities are still trying to determine a motive for the attack.

Rapid City Journal: “It appears likely Krumm drove to Wyoming [from Connecticut] for the purpose of carrying out the attack ... The suspect apparently left some sort of communication explaining his actions.”

Authorities say Christopher Krumm had no significant criminal history and appeared to act alone.
