Just days before the college football season kicks off, LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson isn’t exactly putting his best foot forward. WBRZ reports

“LSU coach Les Miles has said that Jefferson and Johns have been suspended from the team indefinitely. This all involves that fight last Friday at Shady’s bar near the LSU campus."

Jefferson and linebacker Josh Johns have been charged with felony battery. WAFB takes us through alleged video of the fight…

“It appears someone steps in and kicks the person already on the ground. Here’s the same video again in slow motion. When the audio’s enhance, it sounds like someone shouts the name ‘Jordan.’”

ESPN’s Joe Schad points out the bigger implications for LSU’s upcoming season...

“Players at LSU are not talking about practice, not talking about preparations for Oregon. We're talking about jail at this point in time."

And, a college football analyst for New Orleans radio station WWL reiterates...

“You know the thing that makes this a sticky issue right before the start of the season, you're going up against the team that played for the national championship in January.”

LSU was expected to be a national title contender. Now, those hopes may get the boot.
