Former Disney star Lee Thompson Young, who played the lead on the channel’s “The Famous Jett Jackson” in the late ’90s, has reportedly died.

The actor was just 29 years old.  The Disney show aired from 1998 to 2001, and featured guest stars including Destiny’s Child.

According to TMZ, he “has died after what officials believe is a suicide ... a gunshot wound that appears to be self-inflicted.”

He had worked consistently since his hit Disney show ended, appearing on the CW’s “Smallville” and more. (Via IMDb)

Since 2010, Young had appeared on TNT’s “Rizzoli & Isles,” playing the character of Detective Barry Frost.

“So far this season Frost has opened up and you’ve been able to see more of how he likes to play and have fun and his sense of humor.”

According to TMZ, he didn’t show up for work on the show Monday morning. Staffers called his landlord, who then found Young in his apartment.

The Huffington Post said reps for the actor, TNT and Disney were unavailable for comment.
