Money’s always a safe bet for a wedding gift, right?
How about a big fat paycheck for your private porn?
A mystery buyer has contacted Vivid Entertainment, a porn production company about purchasing the rights to the infamous Kim Kardashian sex tape.
The tape surfaced in February 2007 and features Kim with her ex, RnB singer Ray Jay. Vivid Entertainment reached a $5 million dollar agreement with Kim K in April 2007 - and thus has the rights to the tape. (YouTube/CosmoGirl Magazine)
Tennessee lawyer, Adam Dread sent a letter to Vivid Entertainment on Monday asking to start negotiations for the tape’s sale. According to TMZ, the letter stated…
“The party we represent does not intend to distribute or broadcast the ‘tape’ but hopes to remove it from the market.”
The negotiations are said to be starting at $30 million for the tape. This could make it Kim and new hubby Kris Humphries’ most expensive wedding gift! Apparently the couple’s nuptials on August 20 created a huge spike in views of the tape online. The Hollywood Reporter says…
“The website received roughly 2 million hits during the wedding weekend August 19-21, which is a significant rise from its average of 300 000.”
This sparked rumours that maybe the anonymous buyer is in fact her new hubby Kris Humphries.
“Well of course, now that Kim’s married, Kris is saying ‘I don’t want want to watch anyone else sleeping with my wife. Although that thing is a collector’s item. Now I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the mystery man that wants to own this and someones funnelling him the money so he can be the hero and I don’t blame him. Once your married, once your in a relationship period, you don’t want to see other guys sleeping with your wife.” (CNN)
