White House Press Secretary Jay Carney made his final trip to the Brady Briefing Room Wednesday for one last turn in front of the press corp firing squad.

But before fielding reporters' questions one last time, Carney spoke about his time at the podium.

"I have loved every minute of every day, even the many minutes of many days that I've spent in this room. ... I don't ever expect to be in a position to be a part of something that has the potential to do more good for more people." (Via NBC)

And we definitely remember some of his sweatier moments at the podium.

CARNEY: "I don't have any information. I think that — as I said, we remain concerned about the unauthorized leaks of classified information." (Via The White House)

CARNEY: "Brianna, but you're absolutely right, but you know what's — let me tell you what's more complicated."

"Well, my question is about young people."

CARNEY: "Getting insurance today, prior to the existence of the Affordable Care Act." (Via The White House)

"Judicial Watch obtained an email from Ben Rhodes to staff members about the Benghazi attack."

CARNEY: "That’s incorrect, but go ahead." (Via The White House)

But on May 30th President Obama made a surprise appearance to announce Carney's resignation.

"Jay has become one of my closest friends and a great press secretary and great advisor. He's got good judgment, good temperament and a good heart." (Via The White House)

Taking over for Carney will be Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest. (Via The White House)
