She’s not a witch...
And it “wasn’t her idea”...
That’s what former U.S. Senate Candidate Christine O’Donnell is saying in a new “tell-all” book.
WTXF reports...
“In a new book she admits she never even wanted to make the ad, instead it was prompted by an appearance years ago on a late-night talk show, where she said she had ‘dabbled’ in witch craft. O’Donnell blames a media consultant.”
The American Spectator is painting the book release as a resurgence for O’Donnell, writing...
“She's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack. The woman the Ruling Class spent so much time scorning in 2010 isn't going quietly. As a matter of fact, there's not the slightest sign she's going -- period.”
But it looks like her book is still under the “I’m not a witch” ad’s spell. If you search for O’Donnell on Amazon, you’ll get some interesting results. The Daily Beast is having some fun with it...
“It looks like O’Donnell has been the victim of cybervandalism...Her pro-abstinence stand is acknowledged with the special, unrated version of the hit movie The 40-Year-Old Virgin....In this case, it’s impossible to determine who the culprits are or what their motivation is, although ‘mocking Christine O’Donnell’ seems like a pretty safe bet...some cybervandalism sure beats earlier penalties for suspected witches.”
But the political punches could’ve hit harder according to one media outlet.
The Atlantic Wire points out...
“...as mean liberal internet pranks go, it could be a lot worse. For two years, if you googled ‘miserable failure’ your first result was President George W. Bush. (Google killed the bomb in 2007.) In 2009, President Obama got the same treatment.”
And the “I’m not a witch” debacle could have implications for a current GOP presidential candidate.
Politico explains...
“Fred Davis, currently Jon Huntsman's media man and the image-maker behind his motorcross videos, was best known last year for the ‘demon sheep’ spot for Carly Fiorina, and the ‘I'm not a witch’ spot for Senate hopeful Christine O'Donnell.”
O’Donnell’s book -- “Troublemaker: Let’s do what it takes to make America great” is due out August 16.
