Former Playboy Playmate Holly Madison decided it was time to protect her quote “assets”. The busty blonde insured her 36D breasts for a cool $1 million dollars.

Madison spoke exclusively to People Magazine about why she insured her moneymakers, saying she wanted to protect herself and others who appear in her Las Vegas Burlesque production, Peepshow. She goes on to say:

"I've heard about people getting body parts insured and I thought, why not?, because if anything happened to my boobs, I'd be out for a few months and I'd probably be out a million dollars... They're my primary money makers right now." ”

Ivillage seems to agree with Madison’s business savvy decision, commenting-

“She appears topless during various segments of Peepshow, and thus really would be out of business if anything happened to her chest.”

That might be true -- but Entertainment Weekly comments sarcastically:

“..Let’s just say she’s wise to protect her surgeon-given assets.. It would be a shame if something happened to them, and she had to fall back on her medical degree.”

Madison isn’t the first celebrity to insure a body part. Plenty of celebs have put a dollar value on their physical assets, according to Business Insider:

Model Heidi Klum’s famous legs are insured for a tidy 2.2 million.

Aquafresh White Strips ambassador and Ugly Betty actress America Ferrera’s teeth are guaranteed to always be clean and pristine, covered by a 10 million dollar insurance policy.

And The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards has made certain he will forever be able to flip the bird. He insured his middle finger to the tune of $1.6 million.
