Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn’t lying when he said ‘I’ll be back.’ The former-Governator visited his hometown in Thal, Austria for the official inauguration of the Schwarzenegger Museum on Friday.

Hundreds of Austrians battled the rain to watch Arnie unveil an 8 foot flexing bronze statue of himself from his Mr Universe bodybuilding days. The star, who was with son Patrick, addressed the crowd in German, euronews reports.

“The ceremony took place at the house in which he grew up. It has now been turned into a museum packed full of Schwarzenegger memorabilia, including film memorabilia, his desk from when he was governor of California, and the bed he used as a child.”

Schwarzenegger was born in the two-story village house sixty-four years ago where he started body building at age 14. And the star was glad to be back, tweeting...

Love coming back home”

In more recent years, the star’s rep has taken a hit with not only his private life scandals but also some of his choices as California’s governor. BBC news spoke with museum coordinator Helga Forstner about why Austrians stayed loyal to the Terminator star.

“I think its always the same, the people from Austria like him because he was a little farm boy and his career was so exciting so special and I think the Austrian people are really proud to have him as an Austrian citizen.”

CBS News thinks the big man’s visit to the small town will give him a break from the Hollywood backlash.

“For a day at least, Arnold Schwarzenegger could forget about his messy divorce and bask in the adulation of a sympathetic crowd.
It's a far cry from the kind of reception he's getting in the United States.”

Arnie commissioned the bronze shrine himself, which MSNBC suggests says more about the Kindergarten Cop’s modesty.

“Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for many things. But the bodybuilder, movie star and ex-governor won't be remembered for his humility.”

Schwarzenegger was very moved by the Austrian fans and official unveiling of the museum, however even after saying ‘Hasta La Vista’ to the town, it was reported he didn’t shed a tear.

“I now know why you cry, but it’s something I can never do.”
