From movie star--to scandal rocked politician--back to movie star again.

He said “I’ll be back” and he is.
“It appears Arnold Schwarzenegger is moving forward from his failed marriage to focus on his acting career. The former governor will reportedly start filming a movie in September called Last Stand'..."
What was the Governator waiting on?
The Christian Post reports the action star’s plans were delayed by his sex scandal which ultimately terminated his marriage to Maria Shriver.
“Before the scandal was uncovered, Schwarzenegger was already planning his return to Hollywood with several projects, including a possible “Terminator” comeback. But after it became known that he had an affair, he temporarily stopped all of his projects to focus on his personal life.”
But isn’t the Terminator getting a little old for action films? A Lionsgate executive told Deadline he won’t be jumping into choppers anytime soon.
“It's an old-fashioned Western specifically designed for a 63-year-old broken-down guy with a moral decision-- whether Arnold decides to stand up for his town. We always needed an iconic figure for it.”
Commentators on the Today show questioned whether the star could rise above his old scandal - comparing him to actor Mel Gibson.
“Here's the thing -- I wonder if people are going to see that movie. Because Mel Gibson had that movie call "The Beaver" that unfortunate title. And people didn't go to see it. I don't know if it was the title or something else, or they just, you know, don't like him any more. Just had it with him and don't want to support his movies. I’ll be curious if people go.”
A blogger for Celebrity Dirty Laundry agrees saying Arnold’s move to star in the low budget film is more of a popularity test - but it’s a test the star should pass.
“We can’t say for certain how successful the ‘Last Stand’ will be at the box office but we bet given the standards of behavior that we seem to accept from today’s celebrities Arnold’s infidelity will not not ruin its potential success.”
Production on “Last Stand” is set to begin this September.
