Fashion critics hate her style and trick-or-treaters want it for a Halloween costume. Nicki Minaj topped Google’s most searched celebrity costume list, and came in fourth overall.

NATALIE MORALES: “And number 4 is Nicki Minaj, that would be like big padding on the butt.”
SAVANNAH GUTHRIE: “Can I be honest, I don’t know who Nicki Minaj is.
AL ROKER: “What?”
SAVANNAH GUTHRIE “I know, am I culturally ignorant? Apparently."
AL ROKER: “Yes”
NATALIE MORALES: “I think you are living under a rock right now.”
AL ROKER: “Superbad, Super Bass?
SAVANNAH GUTHRIE: “No, what’s wrong with me?”
AL ROKER: “bom ba bom bom ba bom bass”

The hip hop phenom’s wardrobe includes neon catsuits, multicolored wigs and tons of leopard print. Gather writer Linda Shaw says this costume’s popularity is a no-brainer.

“It's pretty obvious why people want to dress like Nicki Minaj for Halloween. She's fun, flirty and sexy and her costume can easily be made at home -- which is great in an economy where people don't have the extra money to spend lots on a costume.”

But with as many alter egos as she has hit singles, Huliq writer Stacey Doyle says it’s gonna take more than a killer beehive wig and neon makeup to be Nicki Minaj.

“The key to achieving the look is mastering the unusual gestures and voices typically used by Nicki Minaj...With her unique sense of style and personality, it will certainly be difficult to emulate Nicki Minaj.”

Fellow superstars Katy Perry and Lady GaGa made the list last year--but didn’t crack the top 12 for this Halloween. Popdust writer Andrew Unterberger says Nicki Minaj finally has a leg up on the competition.

“Nicki Minaj may not have notched as many #1 hits as Rihanna, sold as many albums as Lady Gaga or filled as many arenas as Taylor Swift, but at the very least, she’s got all them bad pop [explicit] on one thing: More kids wanna dress up like her for Halloween. “

Minaj beat out popular celeb costumes including Charlie Sheen, Smurfette and and Captain America.
