Tucson, Arizona is remembering the tragic shooting outside a Safeway grocery store involving former Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. WHDH brings us more.

“Today marks the second anniversary of tragic shooting that killed six people in wounded 13 others including Gabrielle Giffords. Giffords was at a political event outside a grocery store in Tucson, Arizona.”

Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly are now embarking on a new initiative to increase gun regulations. WTXF and KTBC tell us about their efforts.

“ … are launching a new program, and it is aimed to curb gun violence in the country. Their Americans for Responsible Solutions program is going to be raising money for tougher gun laws.”

“She is hoping the initiative will help raise money to support greater gun control efforts.”

Giffords and her husband sat down with ABC’s Diane Sawyer for an exclusive interview and had this to say.

“Gabby and I are both gun owners. We are strong supporters of the Second Amendment, but we’ve got to do something to keep the guns from going into the wrong hands.”
