Some kids get embarrassed when mom and dad show up at the bus stop -- well one Florida mom took it to a whole new level in a bizarre incident that put her behind bars. Here’s WTVT with some details.

“Marsia Emanuel is accused of climbing on board a Haines City High School bus and hitting the driver. No one knows why she flagged the bus down.”

The bus driver, Marilyn Richmond, reportedly opened her doors after recognizing Emanuel as a mother of one of the students. But, The Ledger reports the embarrassment doesn’t stop there for the kid.

“Richmond opened the bus door to talk to Emanuel, but the mother boarded the bus and refused to leave despite Richmond's protests.  Emanuel began yelling and struck Richmond on her shoulder and arm.”

WFTS reports it wasn’t just the 37-year-old’s temper tantrum that landed her in the slammer.

“Officers said she was uncooperative and at one point, pulled her underpants down in front of them. She was ranting, yelling and refused to cooperate.”

The Huffington Post reports the mom’s wild actions apparently inspired others to join in. HuffPo calls the mom’s behavior “contagious.”

“The investigative work of Winter Haven's finest was hindered on board the parked school bus by a 15-year-old boy who interfered with cops' efforts to canvass passengers for statements about the strange early incident. The student was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and disrupting school.”

Police arrested Emanuel on several charges including battery on a school personnel officer and indecent exposure in public.

According to The Ledger, the students boarded a different bus and showed up to school an hour and a half late.
