They say loose lips sink ships — and U.S. prosecutors say lips got loose in the Pacific for hookers and Lady Gaga tickets.

 

“According to federal authorities a Malaysian businessman, nicknamed Fat Leonard, obtained US military secrets by lining up prostitutes, Lady Gaga tickets, and other bribes for the commander.” (Via KSL)

 

“This is Navy commander Michael Misiewicz. He's one of those who accepted the bribes according to new court documents.” (Via KGTV)

 

Among those secrets allegedly exchanged according to U.S. prosecutors — confidential information on ship routes, allowing that Malaysian businessman to divert ships to ports where he could inflate costs. (Via KVVU)

 

U.S. prosecutors say Leonard Glenn Francis — on the right — overcharged the Navy millions of dollars for services and things like food and fuel.  (Via Phuketwan Tourism News)

 

In fact according to federal documents — his firm — Glenn Defense Marine Asia — charged $10 million in just one year in Thailand.

 

That Navy commander we showed you earlier — Michael Misiewicz — has been charged with getting bribes. Prosecutors say he essentially moved Navy vessels like chess pieces for Glenn Francis and his firm. (Via KUSI)

 

Along with Misiewicz, Francis, one of his firm’s execs, and a senior Navy investigator have been arrested, but Navy officials say it’s possible more arrests are coming. All have pleaded not guilty. If convicted, they face up to five years in prison.
