You don’t have to go home—but you CAN stay here.

At least that seems to be the saying in Sweden when you’ve had a little too much to drink—or eat-- in this case.

CBS spills the story—

“A moose in Sweden apparently became drunk while eating fermented apples. Yes, this is what happened, the moose went back for more, got stuck in a tree in Sweden…”

All Headline News says binge drinking is a social norm for the forest friends.

“At this time of year, apples fall off trees onto the ground where they rot and ferment. Elk and moose eat the fermented apples and become intoxicated.”

Talk about a cheap cocktail. The guy who found the mellowed-moose told the Telegraph—he wasn’t aware of the new pub in his backyard.

“…I come home and I hear a scream, a type of scream, you know, ‘OOOO!’ And I thought it was the neighbor joking with me or something…and I hear this scream again and I wonder ‘what is it?’…and it was a moose caught in the tree…I was a little bit afraid about this.”

CNN reports—he called the police and an emergency team brought the befuddled beast back down to the ground—where it chose to sleep it off.

As for the morning after—The Daily What says the moose stumbled over to the garden where it stuck around for most of the day.
