An Iowa teen says he passed out drunk-- and woke up under a moving train.

KCCI reports
- it all started when 17-year-old Christian Latshaw left a music festival.

"Now the teen doesn’t remember what happened after leaving the 80/35 music festival-but somehow he managed to come here to the railroad tracks, inside the rails... Engineers with Iowa Interstate Railroad were on a train heading east over the river bridge when they noticed something on the tracks.”

The Des Moines Register reports
...

“When [the engineers] realized it was a person they applied the emergency brake. The engine and first car passed over Latshaw before the train could be brought to a complete stop.”

And when the train stopped... Latshaw crawled out from under it.

“He was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines with only cuts on the back of his head and a bruise on his thigh. He is in good condition and will likely be released from the hospital in a day or two..” (NBC Chicago)

All in all-- a pretty good outcome for taking a nap on the tracks. But as The Daily Mail reports--

“Latshaw is not completely out of trouble, though. Police said he could be charged for criminal trespassing and public intoxication for the death-defying stunt.”
