A German drug company has offered to buy U.S. agriculture company Monsanto for $62 billion.
Pharmaceutical giant Bayer announced the all-cash offer Monday. Monsanto sells seeds and herbicides.
Bayer calls itself a "life science company." Aside from making medications, it also sells seeds and pest control products to farmers.
