Taylor Swift opens up on the Today Show about growing up, but the famously sweet Swift seems to have taken a few jabs at fellow pop princesses. Here’s what she said.

“I’m a woman now guys, I’m only going to write dark songs and I’m going to dance in my bra all the time.  Like I just, that’s not really me.”

“That’s not your personality.”

“I hope things will gradually evolve into growing up as people naturally grow up.”

Wet Paint Entertainment thinks there was more to this comment than just this 22-year-old’s transition into womanhood.

“Could Tay Tay be referring to Britney Spears’s video for ‘I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman,’ in which a 20-year-old Britney sports a beige, bra-style top and jeans while dancing on mountaintops?”

A writer for Gather saw the comment as an insult to Miley Cyrus as well -- saying Cyrus went from Disney Queen to wild child. But the writer says Swift has already set herself apart -- she didn’t need to declare that she’s different.

“Taylor Swift is the complete opposite of both Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears. So it's good to know that she won't suddenly come out on stage with a bong or dance around a stripper pole just because she can!”

CelebTV’s comment on Swift’s recent Vogue shoot points out her actions might speak louder than her words.

“Taylor’s sweetheart image is last year, she’s showing off a much sexier side in the latest issue of the fashion bible.”

And at the Grammy’s Swift told Ryan Seacrest she has a lot of questions about her future.

“I think about it a lot.  I think about, you know, how am I going to keep this going?  What am I going to do next?  How do you evolve as an artist?”

But Crushable knows what it wants from Taylor in the future — an artist who accepts her age and grows up.

“I don’t find her choice not to dance her in her bra brave, I find it boring. Because, guess what, the average 22-year-old has danced around in her bra. She’s been to dark places and that’s what she wants to hear about when she’s listening to music. Not about another time some big meanie broke Taylor Swift’s fragile heart.”

But Cyrus and Spears don’t seem to be paying much attention - neither star responded to the comments on twitter.
