Demi Moore has reportedly entered rehab -- after being rushed to the hospital on a reported drug overdose last month. Here’s NBC’s Today.
“The actress is being treated at the Cirque Lodge in Sundance, Utah for an eating disorder and addiction issues. The super posh rehab center is known for it’s one-on-one approach to addiction treatment.”
E! News was the first to break the story, claiming Moore consulted with a spiritual healer and psychic before seeking treatment.
“A rehab insider says -- quote -- ‘She is on total lockdown and only talking to a small group of people’ … Cirque Lodge is the same facility where Lindsay Lohan, Eva Mendes and Mary Kate Olsen reportedly went for help.”
Celebrity Health and Fitness takes us inside the upscale facility.
“The Cirque Lodge addiction treatment center looks more like a ski lodge than a hospital, and therapy there can cost north of $1,500 a day … The lodge specializes in alcohol and substance abuse treatment. It also provides services for ‘co-occurring mental health concerns...’”
After reports surfaced that Moore’s exes Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher were taking care of her in her Hollywood home, Jezebel questions how the media could have missed Moore’s move to Utah.
“... it seems like with a little bit less speculation about Moore's rumored Red Bull addiction and a little more relentless stalking we would have known that she'd gone to rehab and could have then made the appropriate arrangements to organize a vigil outside the Cirque Lodge's gates.”
No matter how she got there, an Us Weekly source says this move was needed for Moore to get better.
“Friends are relieved the actress is seeking treatment -- more than 20 years after she first went to rehab in 1985. ‘She knows she's in a bad place and needs help,’ a source explains. ‘Rehab is the only thing she can do right now. She needed something serious to get her back on track.’”
Moore is expected to stay in treatment for at least 30 days.
